The First Christmas on the American Continent… Say What?

What if you lived in another Continent when the Savior of the world was born in a tiny manager? What would that be like? There was no twitter to tweet about it, no Facebook to post about it, and for sure no media to blast the message to the world of the Saviors birth. What if I told you that I know exactly what happened on the American continent at the time of the Saviors Birth? What if I told you that you could read a book all about it that was written by those who lived during that time in the Americas? What would you do? I hope you would get a free copy of that book or ask one of your Mormon friends to give you that book. Go ahead ask them that you want a Book of Mormon or you will not be their friend ( Make sure you let them know you are joking about the friend part).

Now its time to tell you the story of the First Christmas in America . Our story begins 5 years before Christ is born in Bethlehem way on the other side of the world. A prophet named Samuel the Lamanite gets up on a big wall as see here:

He like the prophet Isiah of the Bible foretells of the birth of Christ and lets the people of the Ancient Americas that in 5 years he would be born and that the sign of his birth would be a new star along with a day of 24 hours where it would not get dark. Talk about Daylight Savings time!

As can be seen some people believed him and others not so much. So 5 years passed and the non-believers picked a random day where if the sign didn’t occur on that day then they would kill all the believers. Talk about a horrible Christmas present… Your Death.

Thankfully on that very day the sign that was foretold occurred and the believers on Christmas morning were able to live while the Non-believers went into shock mode and a lot of them ended up converting and becoming believers.

Christ being born into the world saved them as he saves us all. I know that this story that we read from the book of Mormon is true and that by reading the Book of Mormon we can have more of the spirit of Christmas in our lives. I have come to know through reading the Book of Mormon and praying to God to know if its true and felt the Spirit tell me its true by speaking peace to my soul. May you have a Merry Christmas and I hope that you may seek out the Book of Mormon and seek for yourself an answer to know that it indeed is another testament of Jesus Christ. Just like the believers were not disappointed I promise you that you will not be disappointed in your search for truth in the Book of Mormon.

Check out the exact part in the Book of Mormon where this story was written by Ancient prophets.
